Excursion to the Ityakovskoye settlement (seasonal offer)

Ityakovskoye settlement is one of the oldest archaeological monuments of the Republic of Mordovia.
Not far from the village of Ityakovo (6 km from Temnikov) there is a settlement, which is one of the oldest monuments of the distant past. The settlement is relatively small in size: about 80 meters long and 23 meters wide. Based on the objects found during excavations, it was possible to establish that for the first time this settlement was inhabited in the first millennium BC. Then it was settled in the XII-XIV and XV-XVI centuries of our era.
During excavations in 1951, a large number of various items were collected at the settlement: household items, jewelry, ceramics, weapons, tools, etc. A coin minted in the Russian Mozhaisk Principality under Prince Ivan Andreevich (1432-1462) and a bronze heart-shaped plaque with the inscription "Sultan Tokhtamysh" were also found.
